Student times

I got to know Peggy as I knew her, when my friendship with Adele started in radiotherapy training. We often went to each others homes for weekends as we were quite often the only students who stayed in Leeds at the weekend. Peggy was always dressed to a very high standard in my eyes, and taught me the power of an accessory to an outfit something I carry with me to this day!She had a hearty laugh but stood no nonsense as she tried to keep up with all our comings and goings. When we decided to move into very much a student flat ,initially there was abject horror that we were even going to consider staying there as well as cycle daily the 5 miles to Cookridge. The Marigolds came out and she soon had it looking like a new pin as well as a home, shame she didn’t stay to cook as cooking on a budget was not our forte! When my parents split up Peggy was so kind , generous with her love and enveloped me in a mum sort of kindness whenever our paths crossed. Lipstick on , twinkle in her eyes and she was ready to take on life and its tribulations that would try and trip her up. Her smile and generous nature will be missed by many Karen bale
